Just wanted to let everyone know that I've updated quite a bit on the website in honor of my music business class. Among the changes you'll find several new folders of photos(mostly the early years) and you'll be able to listen to the unreleased raw studio tracks we recorded in June 2004 at Sound Impressions Studio. They'll be more updates coming soon.

Jeremy,

ps. I miss playing rock shows.

As of July 2nd, 2004 the band known as American Hit List is no more.  Joshua has decided to leave the band and return to his homeland to begin his life anew.  After 6+ years of bringing the rock to you and spilling our blood, sweat and more blood on stages all over the West Coast, the run is over.  As for the remaining "free agent" members of the band formely known as AxHxLx, Ian, Phil and myself;  we've all decided to keep rockin' in some format or another.  Look for some new material from us come Fall, with perhaps a few shows for the starving fans soon to follow.  Some of you may be thinking "Weren't these guys just in the studio recording new material?"  Yes, we did record 8 new tracks that may never see the light of day and it is indeed unfortunate because the raw tracks sound damn good.  This website will remain intact through at least 2008 and will be a good source to find out the latest on all the members of the band.  Lastly I'd like to thank everyone that has supported this rock venture of ours through the years and hopefully this relationship will continue into the future.  Any questions, comments or propositions may be directed toward any of us or the forum.

Rock will never die, just rock bands.

Jeremy Wright - formely known as Styx

We're headed to the studio for the next couple days for a rock recording marathon. If we had unlimited funds we'd probably make the greatest rock album ever, but on our limited budget we may only break the top 10 on billboard. Either way it's going to be fun!! May we break no more equipment for it is getting expensive. I think I'll keep a tally of the damage we cause, it's sure to amuse.

ALL THE TOUR PHOTOS ARE UP!! We'll be rockin the Ash St. Saloon in Portland tomorrow night at 9pm. This isn't one of those rock shows that starts late, we'll actually be playing music at 9pm so get there early and stay late. We'll be holed up recording for the next couple months so be sure to get your fix now. Enjoy the silence.

6.08.2004

Although tired and a little banged up we've safely returned from our weekend of rock in California. The Rabit had another epic incident in Chico involving him doing a header into some guys beer glass while soloing and then kissing girls outside the bar with blood running down his face(still soloing). It doesn't get more rock n roll than that! We played an early set at the Red Devil Lounge in S.F. and due to an overwhelming response were asked to play an encore set after the show had officially ended. Thanks to the die-hard fans that came out to support us and welcome aboard to the new fans we picked up. I'd like to thank Michael and Kathy Favor for giving us a place to crash in Chico and Pie from VIV for housing us in San Francisco. The recording session is officially set for June 19-20. I've got a few photos I'll get up soon.

6.03.2004

Headed back to Cali tonight. The rough life of a rock band continues. We'll be in Chico and San Francisco on Friday & Saturday nights respectively. Just can't wait to get on the road again.

5.17.2004

Just played a "tryout show" at the Dublin Pub over in SW Portland at 8pm tonight. Thank you to the 2 people that clapped in between songs. The low ceiling combined with our high volume was a magical combination that brought such praise as "When are they going to stop?" and "We can't have a conversation with this racket." Forgive these people for they don't know and may never know the true meaning of rock and roll.

5.15.2004

We'll be at the White Eagle Saloon tonight to rock the house. We're playing with a couple great acoustic bands and for $6 it's cheaper and more entertaining than a bad movie. Time to shine up the drums, see yall there.

5.09.2004

We'll be back in the studio recording soon, ensuring that rock music will live on. In the meantime you can catch us in action at various venues throughout the west coast.

5.03.2004

It was nice to end our tour on a good note with such kick ass bands as Mos Generator and the Courtesy Clerks in Bremerton, WA. Thanks to everyone that came out to support us along the way as this mini tour is the first of many to come. We met lots of great people along the way, some with good advice, others that were just drunk. You can catch us in California again June 4 & 5, if you missed us the first time we're coming back with a vengence. Rock is good.

5.01.2004

Headed to the Couv tonight to rock the Arnada Cafe. One of the bands didn't show so we busted out the epic set which included 4 made-up songs, one with Andrew, the lead singer of 'Far Cry'. Dirty Fill stepped up and layed down a badass bass solo and Joshua put on a vocal improve clinic. By the time it was over I'd broken 8 drumsticks, one pedal, one finger and the hearts of many a woman. The Rabit was in not so rare form tonight shreading on licks reminicent of a young Jimi H. Thank you Vancouver, you guys know how to rock!! We're off to Bremerton in a few short hours, now I shall sleep.

4.30.2004

After a long ass drive from Chico we arrived back in Portland for a show at Conan's last night. We appreciate everyone that came out to welcome us home. The stiches in my finger held up once again for another rousing drum solo and Joshua's voice was in top form. It's going to feel good to get some sleep tonight, I know we could all use some.

4.29.2004

We'd like to thank the town of Chico for coming out on a Wednesday night to watch our rock show at Riff Raffs. We managed to spread 800 mini-flyers all over Chico State's campus to ensure people would come out of hiding. Those who did were treated to a stellar performance including the Rabit laying down wicked solos while walking up and down the bar(no drinks were spilled). The flying leap off the bar resulted in a minor knee injury which has been tended to by a bounty of beautiful women. Our thanks to Elvis for giving the shirt off his back to ensure we get a gig at Dante's in p-town. Thanks also go out to my cousin Michael and his wife Kathy who whipped up a mighty bbq feast and housed us while in town. We'll be back in Chico and it shant be too long.

4.28.2004

After a kick ass show in San Fran we headed out to Roseville(Sacremento) to throw down some rock thunder. A couple superfans showed up but the bar owner wouldn't even turn on his outside lights. We played about 10 songs and I headed down to grab a cup of water being that it was 90+ degrees inside this place. The bartender/slash owner said "water is $1". Keep in mind this is no bottled water, we're talking tap water!!! After delving further we find that a pitcher of tap water will cost us $10, but a pitcher of beer only $8. This guy tells us he's gotta make money somehow to pay for the electricity we're using. So we packed up and left, but only after I left him an upper-decker in his bathroom. Good luck with that Shady Brady and may the Karma wheel kick you in the ass.

4.27.2004

Independant film's, photo art, and kick ass rock bands all in the same venue...only in San Francisco! The Red Devil Lounge was great. The people? so nice to us...We met Pie from the band Viv who tours with the drummer for The Counting Crows. He was nice enough to give us his wisdom on how to make it big and assured us that we would make it far. Jeremy broke his third kick drum pedal in 4 shows during a drum solo that had all of San Francisco in an uproar and brought out the ghost of John Bohnam himself. (moment of silence). Joshua fell head first off the stage after Ian, in the midst of a blazing tripple sow cow, hit him in the temple with the head stock of his guitar...(no injuries were found). We would like to thank all the people at the Red Devil that were so nice to us and filled our bellies with liquor.

The Rabit

4.25.2004

The show at the Whiskey a go go has been cancelled due to a contract dispute. You can catch us tomorrow night at the Red Devil Lounge in San Francisco. We'd like to thank Karen and her parents for giving us a place to sleep the next couple nights. The Osprey show in Medford last night was an epic 3 hour long extravaganza filled with one-armed drum solos, tipping over tables, guitar solos on those tables and other various mayhem. Cheers to everyone that came out to witnesseth. The band van is running like a champ and the newly installed horn trumpeted the 'Rocky' theme as we crossed the Golden Gate. American Hit List out.

4.22.2004

The West Coast Rock Fury Tour has officially begun, come get your American Hit List!

4.20.2004

The website overhaul is getting closer to completion and we begin our tour in just under 2 days. Once again I've got incredible timing with injuries, this time a laceration down to the bone on my right hand middle finger. My bubble won't be complete by Thursday, so let's hope I make it. To anyone that thinks I'm flipping them off during an upcoming show, I probably am. We'll see everyone at the Samurai Duck in Eugene on Thursday night! AxHxLx is off to conquer the west coast.

4.07.2004

The AxHxLx Band Van has been secured, more details coming soon.

4.01.2004

We're headed to Oregon's capitol city tonight to rock the Moonbaker's Starbar. Normally a venue for dj's and hip hop, we bring tidings of comfort rock. I was too lazy to send a mass e-mail on this one and at this point it's too late, we'll see you in downtown Salem. Cover charge and beer is cheap.

3.27.2004

Thanks to everyone that came out to the Tabor last night, it was an eventful evening filled with broken amps, guitar mayhem, impromptu drum solos and The Rabit almost getting his ass kicked. You can check out pictures from Thursdays show at the Ash St in our photo gallery. What you won't see in those pictures is a lot of people. Although it was the best set ever played in the history of rock it was only witnessed by six people. Dishwalla cancelled the show at Q's in Ashland, so I may never know all their thoughts on God.

3.17.2004

Hey, I made it through a show without bleeding. You can check out pictures from Saturdays Osprey show and many more in the hip new AxHxLx photo gallery. Feel free to upload any of your own AxHxLx pictures or art and let everyone critique your work. Ian is working overtime hooking up shows for our West Coast Tour April 22 - May 2, it's going to be bad ass! Oh yeah, we'll be playing with Dishwalla at Q's Music Hall in Ashland, OR on March 27th. That's all for now.

2.21.2004

We've got a badass set of music for everyone tonight at the Mt. Tabor Theatre. Let us exorcise your pop music demons and help you find rock n roll salvation!! The Whiskey a go-go show has officially been booked for April 25th, a place where Led Zeppelin has played, among many others...now it's our turn.

2.07.2004

Our shows at the Osprey in Medford were excellent, we even got a write up in the Rogue River Press. The official Portland CD Release show for our new album 'Rock n Roll Imperialism' will be at the Mt. Tabor Theatre on February 21st, it is guaranteed to kick ass.

1.30.2004

The 'Rock n Roll Imperialism' cd release shows start this weekend in Medford, OR at the Osprey Brew Pub. You can get yourself a cd for $10, but only at one of our shows. We're ready to rock and we're bringing it to you tonight!! See you there!
